QOR3, is our Content Management System (CMS).

It is first and foremost a set of libraries that we call the qor3 engine. The qor3 engine features RSS support, database support, dynamic content integration and system tags amongst other things. The code is written and is based on RSS, and is thus extensible via XML extensions as well as binary code. We can extend it pretty easily and we do for many of our newest clients.

Qor3 also features some pretty flexible features for Users. For example System tags are [] square bracketed expressions / commands that aid in constructing useful pages. For example if you want to insert your news into a page that you are editing yourself, you can enter the System tag for it like this:

"Insert Category="General/%" Type="NewsList"

System Tags example: using syntax like [newslist category="General"], I can insert a News List which loads all news for the General Category. Here it is -> 

 

If you look on the homepage you will see that we use it there to include other news stories.

General Features include:

Custom Pages
    Create new pages
    Add the page to your sitemap menu
    or simply link to your page with a link from another
    Edit your page with an Editor, that understands full html
    Your pages can be grouped into your own custom Categories
    You can edit the MetaData for search engine optimization
    Secure the Page by allowing only a certain Role to view it
    Pages automatically keep audit information, so you know the history of changes
    Pages are automatically searchable from the website search
    Insert News from the News Editor

News
    Add News to your own custom Categories
    News items can be delivered as RSS Feeds
    Insert News (as the example above) into a Custom Page. (with System Tags)
    News items are automatically searchable from the website search

SideBars
    Create small SideBars that fit on the left and/or right columns of your website.
    The Menu on the left (on this page) is a SideBar
    Edit SideBars with the same editor capabilities as custom pages.

Media
    Upload images for use in custom pages, news items and sidebars.

Advertising
    Upload banners and have them displayed on Custom Pages
    Banners can be Google AdSense, custom html or image banners
    Manage Advertising banners clicks and impressions

Security
    Create and manage Users
    Create and manage Roles
    LogOn screen, registration screens
